About:Suruli falls is located 56 km from Theni and 10 km from Cumbum in the Theni District in Tamil Nadu, India, is a 2 stage water fall. The stream of falls originates from the Meghamalai mountain range. The falls that drops from a height of 150 feet gathers into a pool, flows for a short distance and again plummets to a depth of 40 feet.
Suruli Mountains.The beauty of this falls finds mention in the ancient Tamil epic, Silappathikaram written by the poet Ilango Adigal.It is one of the major tourist attractions in the Theni district and draws tourists from different parts of the state, particularly during the southwest monsoon. June – October is the best season due to monsoon activity, though there is some flow year round. This falls is relatively tourist friendly with showers and changing area near the falls.There are frequent bus services available from Cumbum and Uthamapalayam to reach this falls. The Tamil Nadu Tourism Department celebrates summer festival at Suruli falls every year.The falls serve as the venue of Summer Festival, organized every year by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department. Although tourists visit the place throughout the year, the best time to come here is June to October. During this time, the volume of the water in the falls is astounding. The Kailasanathar Temple Cave is also an added attraction of the place. It is located near Suruli Falls, at a height of 800 meters above the falls and has a spring, which is believed to have water with curative powers.
There are also other 18 caves in and around the Suruli Falls of Tamil Nadu. Then, there is a dargah near the falls, named after a Muslim mystic, Abubacker Masthan who lived around here in 1630s. Being the last resting place of the mystic, the dargah is an important place of worship. The dargah also lies close to the cave temple of Kailasanatha. There is another temple near the Suruli Falls called the Suruli Velappar temple, dedicated to Lord Kartikeya. The pilgrims visit the temple with pots of milk on Saturday. |

I visited here in Jan 2022. Nice place to enjoy with friends and family. Located in a good dense forest. Be careful with monkeys it will take away your things if you keep them anywhere. The bathroom needs to be improved for changing the dress after bath. A bus facility is available. The entry fee is rs.20. Evening up to 4.30 allowed.
This place is near Kumbam near the Tamilnadu-kerala Border.
This place has its own beauty and those who love nature and to get away from the trendy crowd of people can come here and have a good energetic bath and get relaxed..
there is also a famous Murugan temple near the falls..
As the name suggests five falls during normal season the water gets divided into Five Falls and is clearly visible of the Falls splitting into five parts. Now five falls is around 4 km away from the main falls and is nestled deep in the western ghat mountain.
Just ensure you carry proper footwear and clothing when visiting the waterfall.
The falls are beautiful, but you may have to trek to get close to the water. On the side, you have changing rooms. Men and women have separate entrances.
People will guide you as to how near you may get to the ocean depending on the pace of the water! However, once you’re inside, it’s a fantastic way to unwind.

Suruli falls is also known as Cloud Landfalls or Meghamalai falls. Its one of the best waterfall that anyone would like to visit.
