The Introductory Scuba Diving Experience at Netrani Island is a one day program designed for people wanting to try their first Scuba Diving experience at Netrani Island.

As long as your are reasonably fit, you can go diving. Before you sign up, please click here to download the medical statement. Please go through this form to quickly check that you have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe for you to go scuba diving. Print, fill out and sign the statement and bring it along with you when you come to Murudeshwar.

Your day starts with a short briefing explaining the principles of diving and your equipment, followed by a boat ride to the island ( about an hour and 20 mins). At the dive site, you will learn some basic skills and get comfortable with the dive gear in shallow water. Once your skills are done, you will go for your dive. The dive instructor is with you during the dive, holding on to your tank, so you are always under close, direct supervision of a dive professional. You are NEVER alone underwater.

The dives can be up to than 12 m deep, though usually between 6 -10 m. The dive time is 30-40 mins, it could be more or less depending on how you breathe and your comfort level. We start at 7:30 am and finish by around 4:30 pm.

Other Attractions of the trip

The first sight that catches your eye as you enter this peaceful and scenic seaside town is the majestic statue of Lord Shiva blessing you perched atop a small hillock overlooking the Arabian Sea. Though there are a plethora of things to do in Murudeshwar, the spiritual town’s biggest draws are the revered Murudeshwar temple and the heart-shaped Netrani island offering excellent scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities.

It was a stone masonry column with a double wick lamp placed inside the lantern. Later a flashing light was installed on a white masonry tower in 1936. The tower also had a storm warning signal mast attached to it.On 21st March 1998, metal halide lamp replaced the main source of light from this lighthouse. The light house is another tourist attraction in this town.
