| There are many routes– one of the easy ones to access is Bangalore > Kalasa. Bangalore->Kunigal->Hassan->Belur->Mudigere->Kottigehaara->Kalasa->Kudremuk – Distance approximately 350 kms |

| This peak is almost at the height of Kudremukh. It is about 20+kms from Kudremukh colony and about 10+kms from the main road to Kudremukh colony. The point where you start is about 9kms from kudremukh colony. First route, You will get down before you reach the colony after the Bhagavati forest check post, and the other route starts from village called “MaLa”. where the former route takes you in a jeepable track the later is through thickets of the jungle typical to Western Ghats. |
| The trek up to the peak is not tiring.. though the track goes through the dense woods, there are constant breeze flowing through the woods and gives the pleasant feeling. The trees are huge & tall and densely populated.The Trek route starts approximately 4-5 kms from Bhagavathi nature camp . It is recommended that you have your own mode of transport to easily access all these places. The trek is 4km a side and is fully through grassland and finally you scale the Gangadikal peak. Atop the peak you get beautiful view of Kurdemuk range of peaks and in between you can spot the backwaters of Lakya dam, an mind blowing screenery. |
