Kihim and Mandawa is nearly 10 km away from Mumbai. Kihim has dense coconut trees that give a pollution free green environment. This is a place for the nature lovers who want to spend some time with the beauty of the nature. The jungle of Kihim has varieties of rare flowers, butterflies and birds. That is Nagaon..approximately 7 Km from Alibag. Famous place for Coconuts and betel-nuts. You will get nice food out there.
Kashid Beach :
On the Alibag-Murud Highway.just 32 Km from Alibaug.Place away from the hustle and bustle of the city…
Akshi Beach :
Just 5 Km from Alibag.Akshi is a nice place.Full of fishers.Generally not crowded.
Don’t miss the epigraph prepared by Raja Keshidevaray in the year 1012.
Alibaug – Temples and Forts :
Colaba Fort :
Colaba fort, major water fort in Konkan.Shivaji Maharaj built this fort in 1680.Nine hundread feet long and three hundread fifty feet wide having two ‘dwars’ (gates),one from the shore , another from the sea side.
The ‘Mahadarwaja’ to the east is a specail thing decorated with idols of tigers, elephant, peacock etc. The temple of Ganesh, godess with eighteen hands ,Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva together makes “Ganesh Panchayatam”
Better to visit here only during the low tide.
Vikram Vinayak Mandir (Birla Madir),Salav :
Approx. 20 km from Alibag.Great place more or less similar to Hiranandani Garderns, Powai.The temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The tranport facilities are OK and affordable to all classes.
Kanakeshwar :
12 kms from Alibag.cool climate and old temple of Lord Shiva.
The temple is situated on a small hill and the nearby village is ‘ Mapgaon ‘ which is almost 12 kms. from Alibag. The hill is almost 370 m high and we have to climb 700+ steps to reach the temple.

Tower of St. Barbara. - Chaul: Is a historic town situated about 15 km away from Alibag. It is famous for its Portuguese ruins, an old church, a synagogue, Buddhist caves, the Hamam Khana and a temple.
- Vikram Vinayak Temple or Birla Temple, Salav: Is situated about 20 km away from Alibag, on the way to Janjira.
