Jorhat has two railway stations. The Mariani junction is located about 17 kilometres from the city centre and is the lifeline to the city. Most of the Dibrugarh-bound trains cross the Mariani Junction. The Jorhat Airport also called the Rowriah Airport is one of the important airports of Assam. It connects to Guwahati and other parts of the country.
