There is not much history available about Believers Church Odisha Diocese. But we have few information available about the Believers Church.
On the date 6th of February 2003, RT. REV. Dr. K.J Samuel, who was the moderator Bishop of the church of South India, and six other bishops’ divine Rt. Reb. Dr. K.P Yohannan as a priest for apostolic succession and then established as the initial Metropolitan of the Believers Church. Which transformed it into an opposing church, with which the Bible’s in Faith, the evangelical in nature, the Apostolic Native, the Aquatic in Outlook and Episcopalian in Governance. Later the Believers Church is divided as regions into dioceses, each with its own leader. In 2015, the church reported it was re-organized into 33 dioceses and Catholic Church is amongst one of them.

Golden Beach or Ballighai beach – As puri is located on the shore of the Bay of Bengal you can enjoy the Golden beach of puri which is 1 KM away from the Catholic Church. This beach hosts sand art displays and Sunrise & sunset are pleasant scenic attractions here.

Ramachandi Temple – Just about 100 mtr away on College road from the Catholic church you can visit this temple dedicated to Goddess Ramachandi which is located on the banks of the Kusabhadra River.

Raghurajpur – Raghurajpur is a must visit place if you are an art lover. This is a village around 13 Km on Bhubneswar Puri road where every house has a painter and you can see lavishly paintings here. You can also see age-old traditional paintings on canvas, skil (tassar) and other varieties like Pattachitra, papiermache, masks, stone idols, sculptures, wooden idils and toys and many more.

Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary – This wildlife sanctuary is spreaded in aorund 72 Km area and located between two beautiful towns of Odisha, Puri and Konark. This place is around 28 KM from the Catholic Church.
