On the date 6th of February 2003, RT. REV. Dr. K.J Samuel, who was the moderator Bishop of the church of South India, and six other bishops’ divine Rt. Reb. Dr. K.P Yohannan as a priest for apostolic succession and then established as the initial Metropolitan of the Believers Church. Which transformed it into an opposing church, with which the Bible’s in Faith, the evangelical in nature, the Apostolic Native, the Aquatic in Outlook and Episcopalian in Governance. Later the Believers Church is divided as regions into dioceses, each with its own leader. In 2015, the church reported it was re-organized into 33 dioceses and Believers Church Odisha Diocese is amongst one of them.
