Archaeological Museum
This museum is near the Konark Sun Temple. It is a great museum to visit, this place provides information about the Sun Temple, which is good to know. Its entrance is very good like "red carpet", in front of the door, both visitors get the number two 'Yali' on the left and right sides. The entire area is covered with green trees. The Konark Museum is a treasure house for historians and art lovers and is open to the public.

History of Archaeological Museum
Archaeological Survey of Indian Museum serves as a store of 13th century, India’s finest architectural artifacts. The museum exhibits wonderful stone sculptures gathered from the ruins of the Sun Temple. Apart from this, there is also a reserved archive in it, this museum comprises four galleries, where about 260 antiquities are available on display. Each gallery has different stone sculptures on the basis of their subject, and the sculptures falling in the museum and the architectural members of the Sun Temple were shifted to the present museum building in 1968. The present museum is located from the main temple in the far north direction.

Interesting things to See : four type of gallery
- The first gallery contains 62 antiques, in which the sand stone sculpture of the Sun God, the Chlorite stone sculpture of Raja, various incarnations of Lord Vishnu and many others are included.
- The second gallery has 108 antique objects in which religious idols such as Deepla and heavenly bodies are sculptures, stone carvings on stone, drummers of crocodile and great artistic value etc.
- There are 45 ancient sculptures on display in the third gallery, including the heavenly bodies described in the statue of Sun Narayan, Hindu Myths, a King and his followers, Gaja-Vaala and unique erotic figures. Some images are displayed in cases to show.
- The fourth gallery shows 45 antiquities. This part of the museum is the latest addition, it includes images of a thunderbolt lion, and the rest of the statue of Lord Vishnu, the king is watching a dance performance, erotic versus couple, Salman Jikaas, the book works. And there are many more unique elements.
