Wanfenglin, meaning Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks, lies just outside Xingyi city in the Qianxinan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of southwestern Guizhou, and is considered one of China's finest examples of classic cone- and tower-karst scenery. Wanfeng Lake, one of Guizhou's larger reservoirs, and Xingyi city itself, with its own historic streets and markets, round out a broader visit to the Qianxinan region for travelers with a few days to spare.

Xingyi Wanfenglin Airport and the city's railway and long-distance bus stations serve as the main gateways to the region, with local taxis, ride-hailing cars, and public buses covering the trip from the city center. Within the scenic area itself, shuttle or golf-cart services are typically available to help visitors move between the Wangwu viewpoint and the Nazhi village zone.

Open viewpoints can mean significant sun exposure, so plan accordingly, and take care on stairs and uneven paths around the viewing platforms and village lanes, especially when wet. Mist can reduce visibility on some mornings, so allow flexible timing if sunrise photography is a priority, and keep to marked paths when exploring the rice paddies around Nazhi village.
