Day 1 : Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

City Palace

Time - 07.00 AM

Location: Old City, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India

This majestic City Palace is built with balconies, watchtowers, and forts. It is the largest palace in Rajasthan. The front wall is 244 meters long and 30.4 meters high. The view over the lake and the whole city from the rooftop on the upper level of the palace is amazing. After centuries of ups and downs, the building, which was originally a princely palace, is now divided into four sections for management. The main body of the palace has been built into the City Palace Museum (CityPalaceMuseum), which houses a large number of different types of historical relics. If you come here in the morning, you can see that under the sunlight, the entire palace is resplendent and magnificent. As soon as you enter the palace, you will find that there are furniture and decorations from all over Rajasthan, as well as Persia and Europe. And the surrounding walls are even more wonderful and ingenious. The peacock on the balcony on the upper floor is made of glass and mirrors, which makes people sigh at the infinite wisdom and superb skills of ancient craftsmen.

Crystal Gallery

Time - 09.00 AM

Location: City Palace Complex, Udaipur, Rajasthan

The Crystal Corridor is on the upper floor of The Darbar Hall of the Fateh Prakash Hotel. The promenade displays all kinds of crystal furniture and daily necessities custom-made in England by King Sazin Singhwu in the 19th century. Although these exhibits are extremely gorgeous, King Sazin Singhwu did not wait for the whole promenade to be completed, and he passed away after not using it once. After the death of King Sazin Singh, it has been used as a banquet hall for some important festivals such as weddings. Next to the crystal promenade is a restaurant Gallery Restaurant (GalleryRestaurant) with a wide view adjacent to the palace pond.

Udaipur Sunset Point

Time - 11.00 AM

Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan

Going south from the Udaipur City Palace Pier, you can take the cable car up the mountain. This is a good place to watch the sunset in Udaipur. You can see the panorama of Pichola Lake, the City Palace, and Udaipur, and the view is very broad. Below the sunset point is a cruise ship. It is also a good choice to take a cruise to watch the sunset, and you can take pictures from all angles.

Sajjan Garh

Time - 12.00 PM

Location: Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Kodiyat, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

The Rainy Season Palace was the summer palace of the nobles of the Royal Palace of Udaipur at that time and was located on the top of the hill. First, it is cool, and secondly, the terrain is relatively high, so it is not afraid of floods in the city during the rainy season. Here you can not only overlook the entire white city, but also a good place to watch the sunset. This palace built by Maharaja Sajjan Singh in the late 19th century towers over a distant mountain and feels slightly sad, as if in a fairy tale world. Originally an astronomical center, it was transformed into a rainy-season palace and hunting lodge.

Some 19 maharajas were cremated here, and the more shocking memorial is that of Amar Singh, the maharaja who reigned from 1597 to 1620. Nearby you can also visit the remains of the ancient capital city of Sisodia, and a museum that displays relics including some pottery, sculptures, and archaeological finds. Some items date back to 1700 BC, and there is also a 10th-century metal statue of the Buddha.

Lake Pichola

Time - 06.00 PM

Location: Lake Pichola, Pichola, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001

Although Rajasthan is regarded as a desert state in India, Udaipur alone is rich in water and is known as "Venice in the Desert" and "Lake City". Lake Pichola, located to the west of the city, is the soul of Udaipur. Because of Lake Pichola, Udaipur can become an oasis in the arid Gobi Desert of Rajasthan, full of vitality. Lake Pichola is vast and clear, with blue-gray mountains reflected in its mirror-like waves. Maharaja Uday Singh II, after establishing his city, flooded the village of Pichola with water, expanding the area of the lake from which it got its name. Lake Pichola has two small islands, each with a palace, one is JagMandir, which was built in 1620 and is famous for its marble statues, and the other is called JagNiwas. A small island, it is the heart of Udaipur. In JagNiwas, the base of the building on the island is connected to the waterline, the island is the building, and the building is the island. At first glance, it looks like a white sanctuary bred underwater, standing upright in the water, looking from afar. Go, like floating on the water, this palace is the water palace that makes Udaipur famous all over the world - the palace in the lake.

Trip Information

Do you want to know why winter is the greatest season to visit Udaipur? Well, here is your answer. Because of its closeness to the Thar Desert, Udaipur has exceptionally warm and dry seasons. During summers, temperatures can reach 45°C or even more, with the average temperature hovering approximately 30°C. Summertime isn't the greatest season to visit Udaipur because of the lack of rain as well as the burning summer heat.
