History of Devakunda Waterfall

This place is also called Pancha Kund (Pancha means five in Oriya Language). The five kundas or reservoirs are called Amrita Kunda, Gharita Kunda, Haladi Kunda, Devi Kunda and Deva Kunda. The beautiful goddess Ambika Temple, built by the royal dynasty of Mayurbhanj at the top of the hill in 1940. This temple Devi is considered to be the incarnation of Goddess Durga.
