Kedarnath is a town in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. This holy place is situated in Uttarakhandm 14kms trek from Gauri kund where the famous Char Dhams comprising Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are located, fall in the green zone, where no case of COVID-19 has been reported so far. Kedarnath Temple can only be reached from Gaurikund through a trek and remains open only for six months from April to November, due to heavy snowfall in the region the rest of the months.

International travellers can avail connecting flights to Dehradun airport from Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Taxi and cab services are easily available from Dehradun airport to Kedarnath. Buses are available from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Kotdwara to Gaurikund. During the yatra season, special yatra services are available to the tourists for reaching Gaurikund.
