Dabhosa waterfall

Dabhosa Waterfall is a seasonal fall in Thane District of Maharashtra. This 300 ft high waterfall is on Jawhar-Silvassa road, about 18 km from Jawhar. The fall is at its peak capacity during the rainy season. The entire depth of the fall can only be witnessed from a flat summit near the fall.Dabhosa Waterfall can be approached by trudging ones way through an uneven road from Dabhosa village.Overlooking the magnificent Dabhosa waterfall, it is the exotic campsite. The waterfall is situated at a distance of 16 kms (near Dabhosa village) from Jawhar towards Silvassa. After a certain point, the road to this waterfalls is a kuccha (uneven) road that goes through Dabhosa village.

  • Jai Vilas Palace: This huge palace is famous for its structure and size. Also called as Raj Bari. It is owned by the tribal king of Jawhar. Being a private property one hardly gets the permission to see it from inside.
  • Sunset Point: As the name suggests, this point really give you a magnificent view of the settling sun. The view of the valley below from here is also picturesque.
  • Shirpamal: It is a place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj camped on his way to Surat. The surrounding view is quite breathtaking.
