About Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary:

Kotgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Kandhamal district, Odisha. This Sanctuary has become famous for its elephants, tigers and antelope population. Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most important wildlife reserves of Orissa with five reserve forests and the Government of Orissa implemented methods to increase the animal population of the place. It spread over 400 sq.km of deep and dense forests. You can find the animal population of Sanctuary consists of tiger, nilgai, sambar, barking deer, peafowl, wild pig, gaur etc.

    It was notified in 1981 and spread of more than 400 sq. Km. The main vegetation of this place consists of dense deciduous forests with grasslands. Ideal for tourists in combination with the green heart of Kotgarh, which is a pleasure to enjoy the time of a holiday.
