| The Hill Gandhamardan enshrine Nusimhanath on its northern incline in the district of Bargarh while on the southern inline is Hrishanker in Balangir District. This hill is located at the Bargarh district in Odisha. The hill is known for its abundant medicinal herbs and is a part of the Eastern Ghats. The hill once famous for its Buddhist culture and still maintains the remains of some Buddhist ruins. According to legends, this hill is believed that Lord Hanuman had sacrificed his palm to save the life of Lord Rama's brother Lakshman.
