This Gurudwara is famous in Odisha. Lots of people visit this place in his hut and to seek his blessing. In 1506 A.D Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji stepped on the land of Odisha when he was on his tour to Assam and Bengal. In Odisha the Guru stayed in very small hut. A magician named Chetan Bharati was very close to the cottage. He was practicing witchcraft with the intention of mobilizing Bhairavi.

The presence of Guru Nanak attracted the people of that area and he changed his disciples and the time went on. Given the situation, his heart filled with jealousy and hatred, applied his magic to remove the attention of the people of Guru Nanak. Their tests had no use once Guru Nanak Dev Ji was in deep meditation. At that moment, Chetan Bharti reached there so that he could break a branch of the Sahada tree and give him physical punishment. When the Guruji opened his eyes, the branch fell to the ground and after crying with pain, he touched the Guru's feet with pain. With the influence of Guruji advice, Chetan changed into Almighty God shelter and became his disciple.
