  • History Puri Beach Festival:

    The Puri beach festival for the first time on October 29, 1993 by by Late Sri Biju Pattnaik, a dynamic leader of Odisha along with Gulam Nabi Ajad, union minister for tourism. The beach festival is organized with the Hotel Association of Puri (HAP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government. India, Department of Tourism and Culture, Government of Odisha, Song and Drama Division, EZCC, New Delhi, Kolkata and ICCR. The 24th version of the Puri Beach festival is an unforgettable event. The 2017 festival starts from November.

According to the belief, it is said that Lord Puri had spent time here for 9 days on the eve of Rath Yatra. The Gundicha temple in Puri is also named as the Janak Puri. This temple is surrounded by a wall and stand in the middle of garden. 
    • Dhauli Giri Hills: Dhauli Giri Hills is an important Buddhist pilgrimage place near Bhubaneswar. This hills is situated River Daya. Dhauli Giri is surrounded by paddy fields. This hill for famous for the Kalinga War that brought the transformation of Ashoka. Near this hill Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa was constructed in 1972 by the Japan Buddha Sangha.     • Swargadwar Beach: Swargadwar Beach is one of the most popular religious beaches in Puri. This beach is also known to be the bathing area of Sri Chaitanyadev, a well-known sage of the Vaishnava cult. The word Swaragadwar is a combination of two words, Swarg and Dwar this means that “the door to heaven”. It is visited by tourist in huge number every years.
