Jagannath Rath Yatra is one most-awaited is Odisha as well as India. Jagannath Rath Yatra is an annual program which is celebrated in the months of June or July. According to traditional Oriya calendar, this festival is celebrated on the 2nd day of the Shukla Paksha, Ashadh month. It is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishana), his sister Goddess Subhadra and his elder brother Lord Balabhadra. It is also called Gundicha Yatra, Chariot festival, Dasavatara and Navadina Yatra. Jagannath Rath Yatra is organized in Puri. It is believed that every year Lord Jagannath wants to visit his birth place Mathura for a few days. To fulfill this wish, this Yatra is done every year from the Jagannath temple to the temple of Gundicha.

• Gundicha Mandir: The Gundicha Mandir is a famous temple in Puri. This temple is considered to be the residence of Lord Krishna's aunt 'Gundicha'. According to the belief, it is said that Lord Puri had spent time here for 9 days on the eve of Rath Yatra. The Gundicha temple in Puri is also named as the Janak Puri. This temple is surrounded by a wall and stand in the middle of garden. 

• Puri Beach: Puri Beach is one of the most popular beaches in India. Puri beach is known for its roaring waves of Bay of Bengal, and fine white sand. This beach is located at 35 Km from Konark Sun Temple and 65 Km from Bhubaneswar. Another popular attraction of Puri beach is the art of sand sculpture, mainly those sand art pieces that are created by an artist named Sudarshan Patnaik, known all around the world.
• Dhauli Giri Hills: Dhauli Giri Hills is an important Buddhist pilgrimage place near Bhubaneswar. This hills is situated River Daya. Dhauli Giri is surrounded by paddy fields. This hill for famous for the Kalinga War that brought the transformation of Ashoka. Near this hill Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa was constructed in 1972 by the Japan Buddha Sangha. This place has beautiful landscape.

• Chilika Lake: This is the biggest lake in Odisha. It is Asia’s largest salted water lake located in Odisha. Lake is very beautiful. There is sea mouth, bird sanctuary, Dolphin to see in Chilika Lake. This is the most important wetlands in the world because it is home to a phenomenal variety of bird. It is a beautiful lake and boat ride was very calming and peaceful.
