The Hariharjore Dam, located near Luhakhandi village in Birmaharajpur Tahasil of Subarnapur District, is a significant irrigation project designed to enhance agricultural productivity in the region. The dam is 27 meters tall, constructed using a homogeneous rolled earth fill technique, and features a concrete ogee-type spillway. Stretching 2296 meters in length, the dam also has a spillway of 128 meters. The catchment area feeding the reservoir spans 425 square kilometers, with an inflow design flood capacity of 3785 cubic meters per second. The dam is equipped with 9 radial crest gates, each measuring 12x6 meters. The total storage capacity of the reservoir is 79.88 million cubic meters.

Completed in 1997-98, the Hariharjore Dam provides irrigation for 9450 hectares of land during the Kharif season and 4250 hectares during the Rabi season. A head regulator located at 2225 meters downstream controls the flow through a masonry barrel conduit, which has a discharge capacity of 13.20 cubic meters per second, ensuring efficient water distribution to the agricultural lands.
