The dam was completed in the year 1973. The length and height of the dam are 306.00 m and 16.15 m respectively. The gross storage capacity at Full Reservoir Level (FRL) is 1.20 Mm³. The catchment area is 13 km². The inflow design flood, based on Dicken’s formula, is 133.22 m³/sec. The Khariff Ayacut is 406.50 ha, and the Rabi Ayacut is also 406.50 ha.
