Rev. William Bampton was the first Baptist missionary at Puri. He sailed to India on 29th of May 1821 along with William Ward, James Peggs, fellow-missionary and students. In the year 1912 this church was established and in the year 2012, Dec 08 new church building was inaugurated.

Konark Sun Temple (37KM) – This temple is located at Konark town which is 37 KM away from the Puri Baptist Church. Konark Sun Temple also known as Black pagoda and was built around 13th Century. The main attraction of Konark temple is that it is designed as a very large chariot which has 12 wheels on it and pulled by seven horses.

Gundicha Temple (2.4KM) – This temple is located at Abakash Ln which is around 2.4Km from the Puri Baptist Church. Gundicha temple is also known as Garden House of Jagannatha. This temple is consider as Lord Jagannath Aunt's house and during Rath yatra festival Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra shifted here and stay here for 7 days. This temple is built by using light-grey sandstone in Kalinga architecture and bounded by walls from all sides and surrounded by beautiful garden.

Sakshi Gopal Temple (2.4KM) – This temple is situated in the town of Sakhigopal on the Puri Bhubaneshwar highway which 2.4KM away from the Puri Baptist church. Sakshi Gopal Temple is dedicated to Hindu god Gopinath or Krishna and Goddess Radha. The idol of Krishna and Radha is here 5ft & 4ft in height.
