Diocese of Berhampur is a small Roman Catholic Church at Brahmapur city which is located on the eastern coastline of Ganjam District, Odisha. This church comes under Ecclesiastical province of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar. Bishop Sarat Chandra Nayak is the current leader of this Diocese who actively giving service since 27 th of November 2006 to till now. |

History Diocese of Berhampur Church:Diocese of Berhampur is established in 24th of January 1974 after Cuttack Mission was divided into Metropolitan see of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar. Father Thomas Thiruthalil was the first appointed Bishop of this diocese and after that the diocese grew and progressed in a steady manner. In the year 2016, 28th May Diocese of Rayagada was bifurcated and then Diocese of Berhampur became the Mother Diocese. Now this Diocese has more than 69,807 Catholics, 42 diocesan priests and numerous religious and seminarians. |
