Astaranga is one of the popular beach of Odisha and Astaranga is a combination of two odia words first is ‘Asta’ it means ‘Sun set’ and second is ‘Ranga’ means ‘Color’. So, it means ‘Colorful Sunset’. It is situated 91 kilometers from the Jagannath temple and 19 km far from Konark Sun temple. The beach is attracts lots of visitor to enjoy the natural scenery. It is fishing village and a community development block in Puri district. |

Chandrabhaga: Chandrabhaga is one of the rare beaches where one can see the river on the sea - the Bay of Bengal. The sight of the forest of pine, street coconut and virgin, unrivaled beach. Ramachandi: Ramchandi temple is situated on the banks of Kusabhadra River in a beautiful place where it flows in the Bay of Bengal. Konark: The temple was originally built on the mouth of the Chandrabhaga River, but since then the water lines have diminished. The temple is made as the sun god, in the form of a huge rope chariot of the sun. Kakatpur: The temple is built in a specific Kalinga style and is a major pilgrimage for the devotees of Shakti Sect. Pilgrims often saw the temple demanding boon from Maa Mangala. Kuruma: Kuruma is one of the major archaeological excavations in Orissa and it has been mentioned in many Buddhist texts of Ashoka and Ceylon, and it is also visible in the Chinese traveler Hyun Tsang's writings. Chaurasi: Chaurasi is hindi word and it is believed that when 84 Siddhas, who had come from kurukshetra, were passing through Bharmour to visit Manimahesh, they fell in love with the calmness of Bharmour and reconciled to meditate here. The beautiful shikhara style temple of Manimahesh occupies the center of the complex. |
