Agastyarkoodam is a 1,868 metres (6,129 ft) peak in the Western Ghats of South India. The mountain lies on the border between the Indian states of Kerala.

Nelliyampathi Known as the Ooty of Kerala,Nelliampathy, about 80 km from Palakkad, is a hill station in the Nelliampathy forest ranges.

Ponmudi (The Golden Peak) is a hillstation in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala in South India. Its located 61 km north-east of Trivandrum city at an altitude of 610 m. It is a part of the Western Ghats mountain range that runs parallel to the Arabian Sea.

Neyyar Dam
Lying amidst the southern low hills of the Western Ghats, 29 km from the city, the catchment area offers facilities for boating and mountaineering. A three-hour climb over the hills across the reservoir affords the thrill of hiking. There are two beautiful waterfalls on the way. A Lion Safari Park and a Crocodile Rearing Centre have also been set up in the reservoir.

Akkulam is one of the beautiful picnic spots, in Thiruvananthapuram city. The spot is developed on the banks of Akulam Lake, which is an extension of the Veli Lake. The calm and serene atmosphere and its unique natural beauty are a fascination for tourists. The Boat Club, which started functioning in 1989, now operates speed, safari, pedal and row boats from Akkulam to Veli Tourist Village. This international beach, 12 km south of Thiruvananthapuram city, is one of the finest beaches in India. A high rocky promontory jutting into the sea has created a beautiful bay of calm waters for sea bathing.

The Janardhana Swamy Temple is located on a hill, on Beach Road, half way between Varkala town and Varkala beach The presiding deity is Vishnu, and the idol including the lotus shaped platform is six feet in height. The Thiruvallam Parasurama temple is situated 10 km from Trivandrum on the Kovalam route. Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is established in 1958.It is located 30 kilometers away from Thiruvanathapuram, the capital city. The Neyyar sanctuary is the drainage basin of the Neyyar river and its tributaries-Mullayar and Kallar. The Neyyar river and its tributaries flow along the entire stretch of the preserve. The irrigation dam at Neyyar receives water from the Neyyar river which originates from Agasthyakoodam hill . Tourists can visit the Lion Safari Park, Crocodile Farm and take a ride in the lake..
