Also known as Zakir Hussain Rose Garden after the former president of India, this garden is spread over 30 acres and is decked up with an exquisite variety of flowers making it quite popular among tourists and nature enthusiasts. Best time to visit Rose Garden
The best time to visit the Rose Graden, Chandigarh is between the months of February and March as the flowers are in full bloom during this season. The Rose Festival also takes place during these months, making it a good time to visit. It is the largest garden of its kind in Asia and was built in the year 1967 under the guidance of the First Chief Commissioner, MS Randhawa.

Japanese Garden
Located in Sector 31A in Chandigarh, Japanese Garden is a well-groomed, beautifully maintained park which houses a park, water bodies, pagoda towers, waterfalls, meditation centres, buddha idol and several other structures. The park has two phases interconnected by an underground tunnel which is adorned with beautiful Japanese paintings. Japanese garden are stone, which form the structure of the landscape; water, representing life-giving force; and plants, which provide the color and changes throughout the seasons.
Butterfly park
Butterfly park is situated in Sector 26, Chandigarh, Butterfly Park is a popular park in the city. The garden is well maintained with beautiful landscaping and houses a total of 35 species of butterflies and more. The park has been designed to facilitate an ideal environment for the breeding of butterflies. For the same reason, it has special silence zones where loud noises or any harsh sound is prohibited.

The park is well maintained and is home to around 35 species of butterflies, which add color to the place. A few prominent among these are Angled Castor, Ape fly, Blue Mormon, Common Grass Yellow, Common Blue Bottle, Chocolate pansy and Commander, etc. There are silence zones which are created for beautiful tiny creatures such that they do not get disturbed when they walk on trails of nature.
Best time to visit Butterfly park
The best time to visit the park is from March to October in order to have a sight of these colorful butterflies. They can be seen throughout the year except on winters when they go into hibernation.
Gandhi Museum
A Gandhi museum has been set up at the Gandhi Smarak Bhawan in Sector 16, Chandigarh. VP Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator, will inaugurate the museum October 2, 2018. Also known as Gandhi Bhawan, this museum is one of the major landmarks of Chandigarh. This museum is dedicated to the works and books of Mohandas K. Gandhi, also known as Bapu. The museum was designed by the cousin of Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret. The museum is positioned in the middle of a pond.
The Capitol
Chandigarh Capitol Complex, located in the sector-1 of Chandigarh city in India, is a government compound designed by the architect Le Corbusier and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is spread over an area of around 100 acres and is a prime manifestation of Chandigarh’s architecture. the High Court and the Capitol designed by Le Corbusier is another architectural marvel composed of twofold cover, which appears like an overturned umbrella. It is the headquarters of both the Punjab and the Haryana governments.
