About:Amirthi Forest reserve is 30 kms away from Vellore. its has a mini zoo and a waterfall which has water after the monsoon season. best time to visit is during Monsoons. the road after amirthi continues into the tribal settlements and leads to jamunamathur(33kms from Amirthi). its a very nice place with a lot of sandalwood plantations and lush green forests. While one part of the area is maintained and developed as a wildlife sanctuary, a portion of it is open to tourists. Spread over 25 hectares, Amirthi Zoological Park is a popular getaway or picnic spot.<\/a>The area is lush with trees, herbal plants and different varieties of birds and animals. There is a small waterfall tucked away amidst the ravines and hills.Located under the Javadu Hills of Tellai, Amirthi offers a reasonable getaway. There is a play park for kids. You can enjoy a good walk along the meandering path cut along the rock steps. Check out accommodation options and facilities from the local forest authorities.<\/td><\/tr>

The temple was considered a masterpiece at the time of its construction and now it has become a marvel on this land of Vellore.Muthu Mandapam<\/strong>Muthu Mandapam is also called the ‘Pearl Palace’. This is a memorial, which is built around the tombstone of the last Kandy Tamil ruler, Vikramraja Singh. It is situated just steps away from Vellore town towards north and is built on the bed of River Palar. The memorial is on a major alteration plan and is said that it will be added with a Children park, an aquarium and a lot more.Government Museum<\/strong>The Government Museum is situated besides the main bus stand in Lakshmanaswamy Town Hall. The museum is under the watch of Department of Museums. This might be the most unusual museum that you will ever see.
