Covering an area of approximately 104 square kilometers, the Bhamragarh wildlife sanctuary is a majestic place to visit for the nature lovers. It is located in the Chandrapur district of Maharastra.Best known for its world class flora and fauna, the Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary is the most prolific place for wildlife tourists. The Bhamragarh wildlife sanctuary is one of the crowns in the rich heritage of wildlife in India. It is literally the heaven of all national parks. It is one of the greatest places where the flora and fauna reach their best of form. Its rich collection of vegetation and wild life is a real asset for any wildlife sanctuary Populated with a variety of animals and vegetation, the Bhamragarh wildlife sanctuary proves itself to be the real tourist spot for the nature lovers. The Bhamragarh wildlife sanctuary has got a great variety of flora and fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flora The tropical dry deciduous forest constitutes the essence of Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary.The major flora found in Bhamragarh wildlife sanctuary includes Salaia, Sal, Bel, Bambo, Palas, Hiwar, Bija, Khair, Tendu, Dhawda, Zizphus Helicteres, Terminenalia species, Bel, Babul, Teak, etc. The commonly found shrubs include varieties of Vitex ,Nigundo, Isora, Casia Auriculata, Solanium Giganteum, Lantna etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fauna The major attraction is the tiger. The most commonly found species include Leopard, Samber, Sloth Bear, Four-horned ,antelope, Barking deer, Wild Dog, Wild Boar,Chinkara, Blue Bull, Hyaena, Wildbore, Bear, Jungle Fowl, Crocodile, etc. Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary would give you the chance of watching a variety of wild animals from close quarters. Watching some endangered species would be a thrilling experience, one of its kind for sure. Viewing leopards, peacocks, wild boars and flying squirrel among the wilds would mesmerize you to no ends. This sanctuary also offers an amazing mix of vegetation but principally it is damp and deciduous by nature. The major part of the sanctuary is covered by wood land or by grass lands. The two rivers i.e. river Parlkota and river Pamalgautam carve their way through the sanctuary. The river Huma flows in a shallow bed to the east of the village site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tadoba National Park<\/strong>&nbsp;Perched at an altitude of 200m, 100-kms south of Nagpur and 45-kms north of the district headquarter of Chandrapur, Tadoba National Park is a 120 square kilometers park. Referred to as The Jewel of Vidarbha Tadoba National Park is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. The park is a Project Tiger Reserve since 1993 and is the oldest national park in the entire Maharastra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ballarpur&nbsp;<\/strong>Stuated on the Chandrapur-Chennai railway route Ballarpur is a rapidly developing municipal town. A royal city in ancient times the signs of its splendor glory are still found strewn in its surroundings. Today it is known for its collieries having nearly 2000 million tones of coal deposits and large quantities of fine teak and other varieties of timber that are brought from the surrounding forest and sold at Ballarpur. Junona Tank, Ramala Tank and Satbahini Tapovan at Naghbir (Chandrapur) are special spot of attracton for tourists.
