Mulamkuzhi waterfall is a small village about 15 kilometers from Malayattur. The river Mulamkuzhi flows through the nearby mountain ranges and cascades into a huge waterfall with sweet, medicated water. The Venanbravady waterfall near Malayattur is also worth visiting.There is also a confluence of the rivers Periyar and Perumthode.

Malayatoor Church:

Located 52 kms from Kochi, the Malayatoor Church is situated atop the 609 m high Malayatoor Hill. The church is dedicated to St. Thomas, who is believed to have prayed at this shrine. One of the most important Christian pilgrim centres in Kerala, this holy shrine attracts devotees in very large numbers not only from Kerala but also from the neighbouring states.The Foot prints of St. Thomas on the Rock:People flock around the foot print of St. Thomas, inprinted and visible on this rock. There are also marks seen on the rock, which are said to have appeared once the saint knelt on the ground.Jewish Synagogue:The Synagogue at Mattancherry built in 1568 is the oldest Synagogue in the Common Wealth Countries. It was partially destroyed in the war of 1662, but was rebuilt by Dutch.Kanjiramattom Mosque:The mosque contains then mortal remains of a Muslim saint, Sheikh Parid.
