Meenmutty Waterfalls is situated in Wayanad District and is 12 km east of Meppadi. It is a spectacular fall cascading in three tiers, down a height of about more than 300 m. A trekker’s paradise, it has the distinction of being the second largest waterfall in Kerala.It is well connected by road with Kalpetta.On the way to the waterfalls, one could come across ample bird life, and many species of butterflies.Cascading over three stages and falling from a height of over 300 meters, Meenmutty is the tallest waterfall in Wayanad. A long day’s trek through the million shades of green takes us to this spectacular waterfall. The murmurs of the river follow our foot steps through the forest all the way to the fills. The force of water striking the dark rocks and splashing high up, to shimmer in the sunrays is a breath- taking scenery. It is situated in the triple point where two other districts Malapuram and Neelgiri join Wayanad in its beauty. One has to get down at Ooty Kalpetta road and start the journey of trekking.As you reach edge of the forest, you hear roar of the waterfalls, the sound of the water dripping on the rocks motivates the trekkers to the Meenmutty waterfalls.which makes the view amazing. The cools water flows from the heights and the you can spend hours in the pool down lazing in the water. The climb to the peak of the waterfalls is recommended only for experienced trekkers. You can hire a guide to accompany you. Over night campaign to this place is wonderful.

The word ‘Edakkal’ itself means ‘a stone in between’. The structure of these caves is truly extraordinary as a big boulder balances itself on two relatively smaller boulders, thus forming the truly fascinating Edakkal Caves of Kerala. These caves are a very popular tourist attraction of Wayanad. The cave has two levels inside that can be entered through an entrance that is merely 5 feet in height.The lower chamber is around 18 feet long and 10 feet high. A small passage from there leads to the upper chamber that is around 95 feet long and 18 feet high. This truly magnificent structure is a storehouse of pre-historic art forms. This attracts historians and archaeologists from all over the world. The Edakkal Caves have been the cradle of human civilization at different stages in history.

The Banasura project precincts are an ideal starting point for treks to the Banasura Peak.Seetha Lava Kusha Temple:Seetha Lava Kusha Temple-This is the only temple dedicated to Lava and Kusha, the sons of Lord Rama.
