Siddara Betta is 12+Kms from Koratagere in Tumkur district and is around 95+kms away from the Bangalore and 35+kms from Tumkur.Plenty of buses operate from Tumkur to Koratagere and Madhugiri, but to Siddara Betta this is quite limited. One has to take a deviation to the left after 2kms from Koratagere on the way to Madhugiri.Siddara Betta is is filled with variety of vegetation.The natural spring on the hillock is know for medicinal values.A wide variety of medicinal plants grow here.The fresh air on these mountains are natural remedy for respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis etc.The cave temple at top can be reached thru a flight of steps. The cave temple is dedicated to Siddeshawara and a natural spring can be found inside the cave temple. Serious trekkers can continue the climb beyond the temple. The climb offers excellent scenery especially during monsoons when the hill is covered in mist. One needs to be careful about the slippery terrain when climbing the hill during the rains

This stretch of land covering Channarayana Durga, Devarayana Durga etc is the habitat of the Yellow Throated Bulbul.
