Odathil Palli (Odathil Mosque) is a 200 year old mosque is situated in Thalassery,kannur district, Kerala.mosque was built around 1806,This is heart of Thalassery was built by an Arab merchant in a typical Kerala Hindu temple style. The mosque whichhas neither domes nor minarets is not open to non-Muslims. It has no domes or minarets. With carved wooden walls and copper ceiling the Mosque has a real temple touch. It was renovated with the help of Portuguese Fundaceo Oriente Institution in Lisbon.The site of the Odathil Palli used to be a sugarcane garden of the Dutch. It changed hands to the British-owned East India Company.

History:
Moosakaka, a Muslim keralite, was the contractor of the East India Company. Moosakaka hailed from the Keyi family of Thalassery. The Keyis were was one of the prominent traders of the time. Moosakaka was considered to be very honest and trustworthy. Hence the company wanted to gift him for his loyalty. As per his request he was given the sugar garden of the Dutch. Musakaka bought this land for a small price as he did not want it free. He constructed a beautiful mosque in Thalassery in the ‘Karimbin-odam’ (Sugarcane plantation) formerly belonged to the Dutch, occupied by the British. Odam means ‘garden’ in Dutch language.

Today , Mopilla bay has turned into a modernised fishing harbour.Sri Krishna Temple:This temple is located at Kadalayi about 6 km from Kannur. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna. An eight day annual festival is celebrated here. Traditional art performances like the Kathakali, the Ottamthullal, etc., are performed during the festival.Parassinikadavu:It is situated about 16 km from Kannur. The charm of this place is added by the serene `Valapattanam River`. The famous Sri Muthappan temple is situated on the beautiful banks, which makes the place a popular pilgrim centre.
